About me
IT by trade,builder by temperament.
I spend my days keeping other people’s systems running, and my nights building my own. Somewhere in between, the two habits merged: I stopped treating side projects as toys and started shipping them like products — small, sharp tools that each solve one real problem, then writing up what I learned so the next one goes faster.
Most of what’s on this site started as a problem in my own life. A retirement model I couldn’t find, so I built one that reads like a story. A booking system my wife’s practice actually needed, that now takes real money. A lock on the family television that ends the nightly negotiation. A novel I wanted to read. None of it is a startup; all of it is shipped.
I work alone, mostly at night, with a short stack and a long list. The tools are usually Next.js and whatever the problem demands. The method is always the same: build the smallest honest version, put it in front of someone, and fix what’s wrong with it.
Every page here has a box for telling me what’s wrong — I read every note. And if you’ve got an app idea you want built, that’s a conversation I always have time for.
